Murder Suicide at HFCC

If you have seen the news about the Murder Suicide at HFCC, Alan and I are safe;
I had entered the fine arts building and heard a cry for help. After setting my bags down in Alan's office, realizing the call for help was real and not a rehearsal, and that 911 had been called, I went to assist in helping her following behind Alan and another instructor to the room. I was halfway down the hallway when the first shot was fired...
I ran to another building on campus for help after the second shot; stopping students from going near or into the building. After talking to campus security on the phone I went back into the fine arts building, went to the back side of the building and was monitoring the back door of the room with a friend to see if the gunman would flee. We prevented more people from entering the building, The fourth and final shot was fired.
My heart goes out to her family.

the following is taken from Alan's blog:

Incident near by office @ HFCC

I’m safe & sound.In case you heard of troubles in my dept. at HFCC, we were able to evacuate everyone and stay safe until police arrived.

They finally released the names, so I can let everyone know, they were 2 of my theater students, in a directing class & not a couple.

it was an assault & attempted rape when we first reported trouble, he held up in a classroom with a shotgun that I witness him loading

once he loaded, I witness a misfire into the floor, realizing it was a real gun, we evacuated the area & for 20 min he staid in the room

we repeated called 911 & campus emergency waiting for response while periodically we heard single gun shots - 4 total then silence

finally police arrived & we learned that he had shot her and then himself.

We will greatly miss our bright young acting talent Asia.
